What is an Image Watermark?
An image watermark is a visible overlay — text, a logo, or a copyright notice — applied on top of a photo to identify its owner or brand. Watermarks are commonly used by photographers, designers, and content creators to protect their work and discourage unauthorised use.
With Webkitters Image Watermark, you can add a text or logo watermark in seconds, right in your browser, with full control over position, opacity, size, and rotation.
Text vs Image Watermark
Text Watermark
Ideal for copyright notices (e.g. © 2025 Your Name) or simple branding. Customize font size, color, rotation, and opacity to blend naturally with your photo.
Image / Logo Watermark
Use a transparent PNG logo for professional branding. Control the scale relative to image width and adjust opacity so the logo is visible but not distracting.
FAQ
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is processed in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images and logos never leave your device.
What image formats are supported?
You can upload JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP images. For logos, a transparent PNG gives the best results.
Can I add a logo watermark?
Yes. Switch to the "Image / Logo" tab and upload your logo. PNG files with a transparent background work best.
What does the Tile option do?
Tile repeats the watermark across the entire image in a grid pattern — great for full-coverage protection.
Will the watermark affect image quality?
No — the watermark is composited onto the original image at full resolution. Quality only depends on the output format you choose.
