How to Use the Image Blur Tool
Full Image Blur
- Upload or drag-and-drop your image.
- Select Full Image mode (default).
- Adjust the Blur slider to control intensity.
- Click Apply Blur and download.
Draw to Blur (Manual Regions)
- Upload your image and switch to Draw to Blur mode.
- Adjust Brush size and paint over areas you want blurred — faces, text, number plates.
- Use Erase mode to un-mark any area. Clear Mask resets all marks.
- Set the blur intensity with the Blur slider.
- Click Apply Blur — only painted areas are blurred. Download the result.
All processing happens in your browser — your images are never uploaded to any server.

FAQ
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All processing is done client-side using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device.
What formats can I export?
You can download the blurred image as JPG, PNG, or WebP. Select your preferred format before clicking Apply.
How strong can the blur be?
The blur slider goes from 2px to 80px — 20px is a moderate blur, 50px+ gives a heavy anonymising blur. For faces, 30–50px is usually sufficient.
Can I blur multiple separate areas?
Yes. In Draw to Blur mode, paint as many areas as you like. Everything painted before you click Apply Blur will be blurred.
Will the original image quality be preserved?
The original image is never modified. Blur is applied to a copy — choose PNG output if you need lossless quality.
